New Chair

I've been toning down the color scheme in my place as of late and my latest acquisition is an old rattan swivel chair that I got from someone on Craigslist who was ready to throw it out.  It didn't have a cushion and it was rather beat up, but I figured that I could get a cushion at Pier 1 to fit it.  When checking their website, I saw that they had cushions for those types of chairs on sale for $45 bucks, so I decided to drive over there to see what they had.  I wanted a light colored, ivory or white cushion but all they seemed to have out on the floor was red or dark brown cushions.  The saleslady was super nice and said that she would look in the back to see what they had.  As I patiently waited, she came out with a huge cushion in the perfect ivory color.  We tried it in a similar chair to see if it would fit, which it did, and then she went to the register to see what the price was, because I wanted to make sure it was one of the cushions on sale.  As she brought up the price, she informed me that I got the deal of the day and said that it was only $15!  SCORE!!  Wow!  It was truly magical, since stuff like that rarely happens to me!

This chair is currently replacing the Ikea Lunna chair that was there.  Not sure what to do with the Lunna chair just yet, so I have it stored in the basement.  The Lunna chair is super comfortable and I may have a hard time letting it go.  But I'm super thrilled to have a nice new chair for the living room.

Goodbye Lunna chair, you have served me well!

Thanks! The chair frame is rather beat up though, but the new cushion seems to take the eye away from it.

I'll buy your Lunna if you still have it!

I do still have it! I've tried to sell it on Craigslist a few times, but no one has ever showed up. Are you in the Philadelphia area?

Hi Suzy8-Track! Have you sold the red Ikea chair yet? We are in NYC and would love to buy it if you're still in the market. Ikea doesn't make it anymore and ours--after three years--broke this week and we can't find replacement parts. !
Thanks for your consideration!
:)

I have not sold it, and am looking to give it away. The chair is a little worn on the seat and the cover could use a washing (I've never washed it myself). If you want to get it you are welcome to.
