Thrifty Finds!

Uhuru Furniture is a local thrift store near my work.  All purchases benefit the African People’s Education and Defense Fund, and the salespeople are rather aggressive when it comes to their cause, but if you can deal with listening to their spiel for a minute or two, you can explore some rather excellent deals on furniture.  Recently they had a Retro Salon chair for $50...which has now been reduced to $35.  I'm incredibly tempted...but I honestly do not have the space for such a fun piece.  As I was checking out their site, I found a lot of other amazing things...and a lot of them are incredibly cheap!

$150 for this gorgeous carved Asian trunk

Reduced from $50 to $35....very tempting!

I may need to pick up a couple of these...at $25 for 1 and $35 for 2...its a steal!

Sadly, this very groovy buffet was SOLD

These cane chairs are $125 for all four!

They are asking $150 for this leather chair...not to shabby, although it looks like it needs a good cleaning!

This gorgeous shelving from the 20s is $150

Only $95 for the Faux Bamboo style desk and chair

I laughed big time when I got to the last picture. My bedroom furniture is THAT EXACT style. And I do mean exact. Same drawer handles even.

I love faux bamboo furniture, even though it is somewhat reminiscent of the Golden Girls.

Hi,

Somewhat random, but I was actually JUST going to buy that faux bamboo desk from there today and someone got there before me--if they are out there or someone in the Philly area has a similar one, email me at adphilly84@gmail.com please..I will pay more than you bought it for!
