Vintage LP's

Lately I've been putting the 8-tracks aside and listening to my records instead.  The thing that I love most about records is the artwork or photography used on the covers, especially the older stuff from the 50s and 60s.  Here are some of my favorite covers.

This was an album from a TV show in the 60s.  My mom has this album in her collection too.  Its a lot of fun to listen to and the band is great.  The singing can get on your nerves after a few songs though.  It is very high pitched and can make your ears bleed if you listen for too long.

I picked up this gem at a thrift store for 25 cents.  It's a pretty decent album, and still sounds great.  I just love the cover of the couples hanging out and having coffee.  Reminds me of when my parents when used to have friends over for Bridge and coffee...and I was supposed to be in bed, but I would sneak  a peek above the bannister at the top of the stairs.  It always sounded like they were having a wonderful time.

I just love the frilly and colorful skirts on the can can dancers!  Lots of fun to listen to too.  I believe that Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec would approve.

I've loved Sonny and Cher since I was a little kid.  Their TV show was the best!  Love the psychadelic colors and images used on this cover.

I love this album cover..it also folds out...but I forgot to get a photo of that...doh!  Anyway, the album is pretty interesting.  Bongos are featured prominently on each track.  I usually can only listen to one side, because listening to the whole album is bongo overkill for me.
