Being Human

This summer I've recently discovered the British TV show 'Being Human'. It is about a group of three people, one is a ghost, one a werewolf and the other a vampire. They all share a house in Bristol and try to live a 'normal' life, hence the title. They took a tired genre and breathed new (after) life into it. The main thrust of its story deals with friendship, love, isolation and many other human emotions and it can be very funny at times. This series is quite original which is something you don't get too often on TV these days. The Brits really know how to create innovative shows that we Americans like to copy, such as The Office and Life on Mars. The quality and innovation of ideas seem to be lacking in American television. It's all about the almighty dollar, not providing good entertainment. It's unfortunate because many good shows are put on the chopping block too soon, and not given enough time to develop a following.

My favorite character on the show has to be George..the werewolf character (check out the video of him below). He brings some of the funniest moments on the show, plus he's adorable to boot. Highly recommend checking out this interesting and original show, and I'm happy to say, that a second season is in the works...Yay!
