YAY!! Summer is finally here!

Wow, last time I posted there was snow on the ground!  It seemed like summer was a long way away. Spring was cold and rainy, with hardly any sunny days.....but as of this week, its finally here!  Today it is a balmy 90 degrees out...and for once, I'm not complaining about it.  In fact, I'm looking forward to hitting the pool when I get home.

Ed will be out of town next week, and while he's away, I'm thinking of doing some painting around the house.  My first project is painting all the wood doors white.  We have these cheap hollow core doors and we both agree that it would help to brighten up he hallway a bit if they were painted.  My second big project that I want to tackle is painting the entryway.  At first I was considering painting stripes, like these:

 but after doing some research, I found that you can purchase stencils that  look like wallpaper.  Some of them look pretty nice.

Not sure what color I want to use though....but I am leaning towards black...lets just hope I can convince Ed!
