Don't Mess with Mother Nature
Early Sunday evening there was some drama at our condo...as Ed and I were heading to the pool to cool off during the heat wave, we opened the door outside to very dark skies and high winds. One kid was screaming that it was a tornado, as others were screaming for everyone to get inside. I saw umbrellas being pulled up into the air, and folks scrambling to grab them before they flew away. Many people were cooking out on the grills, so they were frantically packing up their stuff. The life guard was busy too, trying to grab all the rafts and tubes that suddenly went airborne.
The crazy thing about this freak storm was that it happened so suddenly, it was sunny as Ed and I were leaving the condo to head to the pool, and by the time we got to the lobby it was dark outside. After about 20-30 minutes the skies started to clear. Sadly, I didn't get to cool off in the pool, because they closed it during the mayhem of the storm, tornado or whatever it was, but even though nature can be dangerous at times, it can also be beautiful, because as the sun peeked through the clouds, I saw this from our balcony....
