Update on Paul and Mugsy

I've heard back from my friend Pam today.  Her uncle is still hanging in there, but is now being transported to a hospice to be closer to his family.  Mugsy is staying with Paul's ex wife, who is also a big cat lover.  Everyone in the family is upset, and I'm sure Mugsy misses his buddy a great deal.  Since Paul adored that cat, Pam told me that her family will make sure that Mugsy will be well taken care of.

A difficult and hard time for all concerned, but I'm glad to hear that Mugsy will still have a home.

I got some more details about Mugsy. Apparently Paul was in the hospital back in November for a couple of days, but when he was released, he and Mugsy ended up moving in with his ex-wife. So Mugsy has been in his new home since November. When Paul was in the hospital, he made sure that someone was there to take care of Mugsy every day he was away. Pam had told me that he absolutely adored Mugsy, so its nice to know he is loved. Looks like Paul's ex-wife will continue to care for Mugsy, but i'm sure that he misses Paul terribly. Paul is still hanging in there, but is currently in a hospice close to his family.

Sad news, Paul passed away yesterday. Paul's ex-wife will be taking care of Mugsy now, but I'm sad because he lost his buddy.

Yes, I'm very happy for Mugsy. Joan, who was Paul's ex-wife is also a big cat lover and is more than happy to keep the big guy. Plus I'll still get updates on him from my friend Pam, who is her niece.
