REALLY??!!

Ed and I have decided to part with the enormous collection of Lava Lamps in our home (all are his).  Seriously, who in their right mind owns five lava lamps??  I can see one or two...but five?!!  We will keep one, but the rest must say adieu.  I love Ed but his taste in lamps is weird.  He has a skull head with a light inside it, as well as a large plastic pile of bones and skulls that light up.  For some reason, he keeps them out year round, not just on Halloween...which I find odd.

He also has not one, but two of those plasma ball lights...you know, those lights that have plasma beams and when you touch the ball, the beams move towards your hand.  One of the plasma balls is held by a golden Buddha (where the hell does he find this stuff??).  

Anyway, I think both of us are struggling to let go of things, but we are both trying to make an effort.  Both of us are looking to create a more minimalist look in our home.  Next up will most likely be the souvenir brown glass mug collection in the kitchen...(Also Ed's).  Looking at these make me feel like I'm back in my grandmother's house.  

Getting rid of stuff has been liberating, but I must say that I almost cried when I had to say goodbye to these guys....
